Clarion Area Agency on Aging

The Clarion AAA offers a wide range of programs and cooperates with many community agencies to provide a comprehensive network of services. Charitable donations are important to the Clarion Area Agency on Aging. These voluntary gifts enable us serve more than we otherwise would have been able. We are extremely appreciative for the gifts that we receive. Our goal is to maintain independence and dignity for the older adults in Clarion County. In January 1979, the Clarion County Area Agency on Aging was officially designated as a single program and service area (PSA 49). The Agency is funded in part through federal, state, and lottery funds under a contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Aging. Today, the Clarion Area Agency on Aging, Inc. is responsible for providing services to county residents who are 60 years of age or older. Although all persons over 60 are eligible for services, priorities are given to the low income, disabled, rural, frail, minority, isolated or those who live alone.
