Medicare Counseling

This program offers free Medicare counseling to older Pennsylvanians and answer questions about Medicare, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, Medicaid, and Long-Term Care Insurance.

Property Tax/Rent Rebate

This rebate program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians age 65 and older; widows and widowers age 50 and older; and people with disabilities age 18 and older.

Help at Home (OPTIONS)

Help at Home, which is more commonly referred to as the OPTIONS program, provides assistance to Pennsylvania residents, age 60 and older who would like to stay in their home.

Meals

Meals are available at the over 500 Senior Community Centers throughout Pennsylvania. Nutritious meals are available to individuals age 60 and older and their spouses.

Ombudsman

Pennsylvania's Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program works to resolve complaints and issues on behalf of individuals residing in long-term care settings, such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and personal care homes.

Protective Services

The Older Adults Protective Services Act protects Pennsylvanians 60 years of age and older against physical, emotional, or financial abuse as well as exploitation, neglect, or abandonment.
