

An Ombudsman advocates for the rights of all residents in a personal care home, nursing homes, long-term care facilities, and adult daily living center.
What does an Ombudsman do?
Investigates and resolves complaints made by self or on behalf of older persons living in long-term care facilities or receiving long-term care service in their homes.
Educates residents and their families about right, procedures, and community resources.
Empowers residents by helping build advocacy, communication, and negotiation skills.
Develop long-term care supports including resident and family councils
