PA MEDI-Medicare Insurance Counseling

PA MEDI volunteers:

  • Receive special training on all areas of Medicare

  • Explain Medicare options and Medicare rules and notices in an easy-to-understand way

  • Look for savings by comparing local health care plan and prescription drug plan options to meet individual needs

  • Help determine eligibility for Medicare financial assistance programs that could save additional money

Ombudsman Program

  • Work to resolve complaints and issues on behalf of individuals residing in long term care settings, such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and personal care homes.

  • Pennsylvania Empowered Expert Residents (PEER) - Individuals living in long-term care settings who have been trained to advocate to improve the quality of life in their home

Home Delivered Meals

  • Meal preparation or service

  • Meal delivery or transportation
